  1. Are you not ashamed of the fact not everybody wants obama care but you want to use terms like "most Americans also support it" to force it upon people who do not want it. Some one who works more hours than an other will pay more taxation. So a person who works a 100 hr week as I have done will pay more taxes than a person who works 15 hours a week and then sits around waiting for food stamps.

  2. Climate change is not about being hot. It is Al Gore and co (politicians) that have filled the concept of Climate change with nonsense that make no sense. Carbon and other particles are causing issues with solar radiation that in turn will play havoc with earths weather/climate system. Politics has made this appear like it will occur tomorrow but it will not and this is dangerous as it make people not believe it is happening.

  3. Both Spain and Greece cannot afford there social system and when cuts were proposed to each the countries almost went into shut down. Deregulating the banks is not true how could they be deregulated when they are backed by the federal reserve. You call them wars when in fact they are part of Americas defense.

  4. Medicare has been a disaster as has social security. Why punish people who will never use these systems so as to look after others. I am one of the working class in America that will be paying to support these welfare programs and I will never have need for these.

  5. Do not assume that welfare can cover peoples health needs. I am originally from the UK and there are people there who get turned down for care because it is deemed too expensive. Ironically in the end it will be the working class of america who will pay for these systems. Super wealthy people do not care about this as they can just buy their own hospitals. I pay for all my health care in cash so it will not directly effect me at this point in my life but 20 years ago it would have.

  6. Like it? Only those who do nothing and sit around all day will like it. Those who work hard and will be taxed to pay for it will not like. Just subsidies? It will start out like this and then evolve into full blown welfare state that ordinary Americans cannot afford to pay for.

  8. "The Spanish economic model was hailed as a miracle up until the financial crisis" I would laugh out loud if it was not such a serious thing that Spanish people are suffering from. Up until the crisis as you have point out. Spain like the UK in a fashion was living beyond its means. At least we have that in common. Mortagages only make up a fraction of the crisis. There is also then the issue of government spending which Spain went over board on. Welfare is other people spending money.

  9. You should google regulation. Banks are heavily regulated and it did not stop the government of Spain and Greece from going crazy on spending. Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia is a spectacular but yet Valencia school system is a disgrace. Regulation does not stop a financial a crisis and in most cases it gives more power to those who run the industries and it also keeps out new starters. Deregulating means nothing when new laws are being introduced.

  11. I have worked in the US health care industry and I have worked in other countries as well. I have seen Singapore that only spends 4% of its GDP but yet offers universal health care. I have seen the UK that spends 8% of its GDP but yet have 80 year old's waiting years for hip replacements. People who can afford it in the UK go private not public. If politics in the US really cared about health care it would be talking about different options and not trying to force agenda's. What is yours.
