The vast majority of college students are not liberal socialists. Many of them maybe liberal but that is not the same. Many probably just get their heads down and just want to get their degree.

It is true that colleges as a whole are dominated by left wing culture it does not mean everybody there supports it. Even though them students may recognise that Trump has helped the economy it does not mean they will vote for him or the republican party.

American conservatives are actually classical liberals. They believe in the US constitution which is focused on classical liberal values. So when American conservatives think back on past times they are really thinking on conservative values that based around individual liberties. The republican party could just as easily have been the "Liberal Party of America".

It was not hard to claim greatest gain. Obama had dreadful overall economic growth of about 1.5% common. Obama did not really do much for the economy. Some of Obama's biggest and most hilarious projects was the closure of US coal mines claiming it was for the environment while the US then had to import coal from Columbia. The affordable healthcare act doubled many peoples policy prices. Which is another laughable project. He has no successful things to point to . The fact you brought up the S&P 500 which was at an historic low point and really only could rise from that low.
