  9. As an owner of several farms with extensive plant and machinery I can tell you with absolute certainty that complete electric plant and vehicles is simply not realistic. Harvesters may have to run for 12 hours to 17 hours per day when the weather is good enough and there is no way a singular electric harvester could do the job of one diesel harvester and there would be a need for several of them. Now unless those mad policy makers intend to put charging points in the middle of fields there is no way they can achieve it right now. Maybe in the future there maybe better battery technology but guess what we are not in the future.

  13. Taiwan has a very impressive military that is not to be underestimated. It has an airforce of over 300 state of the art fighters, Several thousand missiles, Anti air guns, several thousand tanks. And Taiwan has a formidable air defence system that can also be used for Naval defence and has a long range capable deployment. Taiwan also has 300,000 professional troops and several hundred thousand more reserves to call from. And it is a country that will fight to the death. China does not have the ability to take Taiwan.

  14. There are extreme regulations all over Europe. Many farmers have had to not work their fields as it could cause distress to flies. The constant media lies about bee populations with out real significant data to back up the claims is just stated as fact. You will hear slogans like where have all bee's gone. Like anybody in a city really would have a clue about bees or even birds in the countryside. And here is the biggest irony of it all the EU has allowed its Nitrogen production to be outsourced to Russia.

The US dollar is not the reserve currency because it benefits the US economy it is the reserve currency because it is stable and backed by the US economic engine. The US allows its currency to be the reserve currency because the US thinks it makes the world more stable economically. Before the dollar was used the Bretton Woods system used a gold based US exchange system but the US felt that it was too expensive to operate and too risky for the US economy. The US may just turn around at some point decide that the current dollar trading system is too expensive to run. The reason why the US has to use QE is because it cannot access many of its dollars that are used for exchange. The US currency exchange reserve is only $250 billion.

  27. I think they are too late. They are now reacting the conditions of the market place rather than being proactive to ensure that the conditions would never been introduced. Very few farmers opposed the European cap system that has created all these issues in the first place. Too many people have bought into the idea that CAP was to help farmers when in fact it was there to control farmers to do the bidding of the policy makers. The idea that the EU would pay farmers to not use their land so as to save some flies that were never in danger in the first place.

  28. This has happened a hundred times before. Spain is effectively a failed economy and desperate for taxation money. So what they do is go after people and threaten them with jail and then settle it out of court. There maybe some sort of gesture of a prison sentence but they never serve that time. There has been numerous cases like that.

  30.  Catherine Jarman  The conservative party are not endorsing it. The civil service is engineering most of this. They have roots that are really deep in society. Look at what they have done to the conservative party so far. It will take several years to clear out the civil service, police and universities. And when all of that is done the Conservatives will probably lose the next election and labour will just come in and fill up the organisations again. And everything the conservatives does will be reported negatively in the media.

China is not going to replace that with Russia which has a population of 140 million and is not a deep consumer market. The reason why the US is so wealthy and powerful is because it has a free market philosophy and liberty as its cultural driving force. And the US did that over a 200 year period and is not something that can be done in 30 years.

  36. Every country in Europe has crazy regulations. I remember reading that one farmer had too many cattle in one field as he reached the regulations limits. They accused him and it went to court and how did they prove that he was doing it they used satellite photos to demonstrate the amount of cattle at any one time over a rolling period of time. Other farmers had to not use certain fields because there was a chance that it could cause distress to flies.

China does not actually have the ability to invade Taiwan. There is no point having millions of troops if they cannot be used. It would be a stalemate like when Germany and the UK fought with neither side getting the upper hand.

And then turned around and allowed Russia to become the defacto supplier to Europe of nitrogen fertilizer.   49. It is fairly simple what is going on. Australia still has a left and right media. Those on the left are trying to take those on the right down and to replace them. The conservative media in Australia has one opportunity to do something and it needs to act quickly or the opportunity will pass. The right media needs to start calling these people what they are. Calling them left does not in anyway do a thing to stop them. They are communists and that includes politicians. Once they start the next phase of calling the media far right it will be too late. A new term needs to be created to label these people that starts to get the public thinking about what they are. And the right needs to start teaching the public the truth.
