  1. This has happened a hundred times before. Spain is effectively a failed economy and desperate for taxation money. So what they do is go after people and threaten them with jail and then settle it out of court. There maybe some sort of gesture of a prison sentence but they never serve that time. There has been numerous cases like that.

  2. Spain seems to have an overbearing taxation system. They are a failing economy run by socialists and they need every penny they can get.
