It is more than that. What he is not admitting is that his protection was to protect celebrities from gangs and thugs. Sports stars that do not hire the protection would become targets for gangs that would think of them as an easy mark. Hollywood is full of those types of people. Without them Hollywood could not operate.

The offer was normally cash in those cases unless the women in question was acting for organised crime. It normally become unreasonable when organised crime groups were trying to blackmail stars and used violence also as a threat. Most of you are too innocent and think this is about a fixer going out and threatening a pregnant women which would never work in the real world as all she would have to do is going into hiding get a paternity test through the courts and the star would be forced to pay the money out at a far higher cost. Stars used fixers to keep lawyers and courts out of the mix to keep the cost down it normally worked out far cheaper for them that way.

@TheZombiesAreComing Sketchy? Without that guy the stars would be compromised by gangs. It is the reason the Hollywood mafia becomes so wealthy. The stars would go begging for their help when they were being targeted.

Because Tucker knows exactly what the fixer is talking about. It is the best kept secret in Hollywood. Fixers would deal with pregnant women by offering cash to keep the scandal out of the courts and to keep the cost down. Violence was normally used to deal with violent people trying to move in on the stars. Every two bit hustler would have tried to move on the celebrities. Drug dealers when they felt they had used the star would normally try to muscle them. So for example a celeb that tries to go clean would get moved on by drug dealers.

Security companies, lawyers and studios would use them so as to stay clear of certain gangs. It was also the reason stars loved Las Vegas because they would feel protected in the town and nobody would dare go near them.

You really are very naive at best. The fixer would deal with pregnant women by paying them off. Issues would have been when the women was being backed by organized crime groups that would be trying to muscle the celebrity. Or when drug dealers tried to blackmail them. A pregnant women could easily go to the authorities or have somebody take up their plight which would be a disaster for the celebrity so in those cases it was always a cash payment.

Without people like that fixer stars would be targeted by gangsters and every wannabe there is. The Hollywood mafia did a really good job of protecting the stars from other criminal elements. Hence why the stars would play in various venues for the mafia as a repayment. There was certain boxers over the years who employed them as well so that street thugs could be kept at bay. Stars that did not pay for the protection would have been open to all manner of attacks. There was a certain star in Hollywood who was attacked by certain street thugs and when got the protection the thugs had to go back and make amends.

@runethorsen8423 You heard pregnancy being discussed and you automatically linked it to the rest of the interview. Drug dealers would for example blackmail the stars as would other criminals. Affairs would be set up to blackmail stars by criminals and so on.

This is not about abortion or threatening pregnant women. That rarely worked as it would just force the women to move to another part of America and then start legal proceedings. What the fixer would have done is to pay the women off to keep it out of the courts and as such keep the cost down.

@catherinegrace2366 With pregnancy's cases they only need to pay the women money. In blackmail cases with organized crime it was always leading to violence. The problem with that interview is it does not distinguish the types of jobs those fixers would have done. The media would have been all over a pregnant women being being threatened and there would have been nothing the fixer could do if that got out. The Hardaway would have been to deal with gangsters.
