  1. +Rohit Sen Trump allowed ZTE to survive as a show of good faith and strength. It was to send a message to the Chinese that there is a deal to be had if they are willing and that it is not a zero sum game. Trump could have destroyed ZTE but that would have sent out the message to China that it is a win or get destroyed game and that could lead to open warfare at some point because the Chinese would see it as a last stand chance of survival. Now if China does not play ball and does not take that olive branch then the next time Trump will probably not help then and do something tough. Trump has China on its knees and is giving them a chance to reform but they will only get one chance.
