@johngalt1448 What would you call invading Georgia or putting hundreds of thousands of troops outside a country. If the Ukraine was a genuine threat to the Russian culture and had attacked it no body would actually care about Russia invading because they would know they are acting out of defence but that is not what is happening.

Merkel was trained in the Karl Marx University and rose to have a prominent position within that USSR education system nobody knows exactly what she did as she is claiming that she was not involved in capture of peoples. She is also fluent in Russian by the time she was a teenager.

Nope he said it would be one of the best times to do so and not to leave it too late when the ground gets muddy. Same goes for China invading Taiwan in that there is a very limited window of invasion. If democrats were to lose the midterm elections in the fall it could mean a republican congress that may end up being a lot harder than democrats on policy. Even though I feel that both democrats and republicans would stand up if war was to come and not cower.

It really depends on Putin's worldview. Does he for example see the West as an impediment to the east? Does he likes of China and Russia feel that the west needs to collapse for them to gain more power and success?

@dotsmassacre It depends on what you mean so I will assume you are talking about trying to stay neutral in regional politics. So if that is the case why did Merkel who was trained at the Karl Marx University and is fluent in Russian push closer ties with Russia?
