  8. Daniel Banaru The RS 7 is more of a genuine 4 seat car were as the Mercedes S-class is focused on being a two seat car with limited rear. A Porsche 911 is a dedicated sports car. If you want a family car then the RS 7 would be the car to choose. If you want second family car then the Mercedes S-class could be used. And if you wanted a out right sports car then the 911 is the choice.

  9. +Muddassir Raza Better is subjective. It depends on who you ask. I drive an Audi RS5 and I think it is better than any BMW on the market. Now go and ask a BMW fanboy and they will tell you something different. Both BMW and Audi make great cars and in my opinion their is probably not a difference in standard. Of course they have different styles and this means somebody like me will like Audi and somebody else will like BMW. Now do not bring Mercedes into this.

  10. That is what inflation does. You are going to notice a lot of other things become more expensive as well. Now the good thing about japanese products is that they are reliable but you are going to see them starting to make the products look a little bit more premium due to the price hikes that are coming.

  25. gdwfs Bentley have a history of hand built cars and their interiors are amazing in terms of quality and beauty. It is like an expensive Swiss watch. Bentley do use German engineering on certain levels but it is still a British designed and built car.

  27. The price is not crazy and is the new pricing you are going to see coming to the market. It is not the same type of car as a Supra. It is similar to a Mercedes AMG A 35 which is a performance hot hatch or a VW Golf R. If you want that level of performance in that body shape that is the new price.

  28. Golf GTI is a lesser car but that is what you are paying for. The new R is for a more premium buyer that wants a few extra points of driving performance. The £48000 may not be worth it to you and me but to somebody else it may be perfect. If you want a step up from that you are really looking at something like an M4 or Porsche.

  31.  @peterhammer6915  Sports cars are lightweight and smaller than a GT car. They tend to be more race orientated than a GT car is. There are plenty of GT cars that can keep up and even beat a sports car in a race but that is not the measure of a GT car being a sports car. Now modern Porsche cars are pushing more towards a GT experience which is not about their actual speed of performance. The M4 and 911 are both sports cars of sorts but sit on different ends of the spectrum. A M2 is lighter and more compact than an M4 which is why I would say it is leaning more towards being a sports car. Calling a car a GT or a sports car is not intended to mean one is better than the other but is intend to describe the cars characteristics.

  32. As he points out it is not all about high speed but handling and engine responses. In modern cars there is too much of an obsession with spec sheet performance such as 0-60 times and pure horsepower numbers. 300 horsepower is high but it is not ridiculous like the 600 horsepower figures on certain cars today. I had a Ford Escort Cosworth that was 230 horsepower at the time which was considered high for a 2 litre engine but to be honest it was not ridiculous. What really counts is would be the feel of the car and how it is engineered.

  35. It is the same price as what VW, BMW and Mercedes has. People seem to want more expensive cars that they cannot afford. But as long as you feel that you are saving the environment and paying more for the privilege then who am I to say anything about that.

  36.  @AviationNut  In Europe V8 cars are for the wealthy. The only real options are Mercedes and they will cost well in excess of 100,000 Euro. Cars in Europe have always been for wealthy people rather than working class people. In the 1960s a Mustang could be had for about $2500 to $3000 and that was about half the yearly salary of an average American.

  38. The interactive computer systems for modern cars are distracting and awkward to operate when driving. At night time all the screens dominate vision and distract from the road when that is where all the focus should be.

  40. I would have to call BS on this so called VS.  That M4 was all over the place while the RS5 was clearly making much cleaner lines.  The RS5 is a perfect track car as it is designed for clean handling.

Pranav Mukesh The Cayman is a dedicated mid engine sports car that not even the M4 can be compared against.  I am very doubtful of a car that does that much sliding around would be 2 whole seconds faster. I could be wrong though.  I have driven the M5 and M6 and both of these cars are great fun but they were not as tight as the RS5 and the M4 seems similar but I have driven it so I do not know.

  46. +LaceyFilm Ugly is subjective and is a modern concept that poor people buy into. Even women today will call men ugly that clearly are not ugly because some magazine tells them this is the case. You can sit there and tell people they are ugly all day while they drive to the bank in luxury.

  47. Price people has a lot to do with it. Rolls to be honest are massively over priced and comes in at about £250,000 and to honest its luxury is not three times better than a Range Rover. Some people may decide that a Ghost is worth 3 times the price while others will not. Is a Patek watch really three times better than a Rolex. Clearly it is better than a casio watch or some Tag heuer. A JLC will offer the same quality as a Patek but be at near to Rolex price.
