War is not perfect hence why many modern cowardly politicians will allow dictators to rule the world. The same happened in the 1930s.

@louferrao2044 The Russians were not going to use it as a currency. Their plan was to flood the western world with junk to try and cause the collapse of western society. It is the same with the CCP who are bullying everybody in the east at the moment. Much of the eastern heroin was supplied by the Communists of Asia. Communists did not actually care about their economy as they just thought issues like that did not matter.

There would have not been a WW3 the USSR would have been flattened in an exchange. Nuclear weapons are a very precise system that are based on extraordinary timing systems. Most USSR systems at the time were terrible at best 99% of their launches would not have made it anywhere near the designated target. Russia was really good at doing big projects for the media they were not good at creating wide systems such as industrial or armaments. It was one of reasons their economy failed and their military technology was mostly for show. Sort of like North Korea today.

@josephstevens9888 The problems with your thinking in terms of allow things to play out as they have is that over 150 million people died at the hands of the USSR and CCP. Doing nothing probably has created more death than doing something.

@churblefurbles There was only a few weeks of war in Afghanistan. The rest was terrorists attacks that were orchestrated from Pakistan. It was not a war. Throw acid on children and carrying suicide attacks was not a war. It was Afghanistan that the Taliban helped terrorist attacks against the US. It was the place were training camps were conducted. The US put a stop to that so I guess you are unhappy about that.
