  5. AAL gross profits for 2021 was $2 billion and for 2020 was -$5 billion. And the years proceeding that their gross profits were static and not growing. And their debt has been growing at 18% per year for the last decade. If there was no pandemic and loss of business they would still be in very serious trouble. Buffett got out of airlines before the pandemic because they were becoming too volatile. If they do not get a bail out they are going under.

  8. US inflation is not even inflation by other countries metrics. For too long the financial reporting has been understating inflation levels. What you are seeing is part of the just the natural market cycle. Do not confuse supply and inventory with inflation.

  10. He paid 44 billion to get access to the business so that he can turn it into something else. He is probably going to layer a crypto payment system (not currency), video streaming, sale servicing and so on. The money subscription charge will be to cover business services access not for general usage. The activists inside the business have tried to cause the collapse of Twitter and that was one of the reasons he tried to back out of the deal.

  12. That makes no sense at all. You cannot control people and their usage. If it is not Twitter it will be something else. You would have to ban all screens just to achieve what you think would be a good thing and then people may just find another way to play.
