Russia through its worst forces and best elite forces at Ukraine. This time they will be throwing large volumes of its worst forces but at scales not seen since WW2.

It is all about Ukraine having their missiles within range of those Russian positions and their artillery.

It may help with aid programs but it will not be enough to off set the eastern food collapse.

That may be fine and dandy but what Ukraine will also need is loiter munitions that can be used in the field by their troops. Hopefully that is what the new Stryker's will be used for.

@atkkeqnfr It is the only tool Russia has because its weapons and military culture is not as advanced as the west. They will be using a large volume of bodies in the form of conscripts and auxiliary units to form the mass of the front line offensive. That is exactly what Peter is also saying in the video. Everybody knows it is coming even Ukraine with its demands for tanks and more artillery systems. Ukraine has the advantage of fixed defensive systems and a large mobile cohort that can try and move behind and around Russian lines. Be under no other impression about what the next phase of the war is.

@rejvaik00 It could mean a lot more than that. Russia may decide to go for broke meaning they could try and conquer all of Europe. What would the rest of Europe do if Russia was to invade Poland?
2
I cannot see Turkey getting involved as it could end up with Russia using nuclear weapons. Why Russia would not have enough weapons for full exchange with the US they most certainly have enough for their own region. They may not hit Turkey directly but they could use them on troops or positions within Ukraine.

@jwiegraffe6290 All of that is playing with fire but NATO would need to stand up for its selt at some point.

@rejvaik00 Limits and ability can be established based on the time frames involved, geography and he supply of materials.
1
@willchristie2650 That is all true that Russia would be destroyed but in turn there would be a lot of destruction in the other direction (not complete destruction though).
1
Russia does not need to be defeat just held out until a point that they decide to partially or fully retreat.
1
@paulpierce2051 Russia probably has enough weapons that are active for regional warfare but nowhere near the active number for intercontinental exchange with the US. There is also the point that Russia nukes may not have the accuracy required for ground level detonation and may require atmosphere detonation.

@williamhenry8914 It is easy to make claims of ramping up equipment and so on but to have it implemented in the field with trained personnel is a different matter altogether.
1
@williamhenry8914 They have been training and deploying as many troops as they can. They have lots of untrained auxiliary personnel but that is not going to be applicable to a mobile force that can follow direct command instructions. It is far more complex that people realize to train troops and get them equipped. A year is not enough time.

@jeanlamb5026 The same can be said for every tyrannical government in history.
