  1. The US is the only country on earth that has the capacity to perform large scale military movements on a global scale. And is the only country that has a military that is set up to perform in multiple theatres of war. Right now the US military is much larger and more capable than it was before WW2. Imagine what it would be like if WW3 was to break out.

  3. Nuclear weapons would not be as effective as people think. Delivering them across distance would be the first challenge that many countries would not be capable of performing. Then trying to get such a missile active in the combat zone that is of a scale that would damage the opposition would be even more complicated for the vast majority of countries. Pretty much any country could set of a nuclear detonation for the cameras but trying to do that in warfare is of a different level of complexity.

  4. War is more than just the military assets that a country has right now. It is the ability for its industrial economy to produce. If WW3 was to begin the US would out manufacture both China and Russia combined by a factor of 20 and the US would be capable of creating a force of about 40 million men. In WW2 that force size for the US was about 16 million men.

  5.  @teresamccartney1309  Women will not be serving on the front lines. No matter what people try to pretend. War is brutal and there is no space for compassion or ideology. Carrying 50 pounds of weight into battle under very extreme stress is not something that can be done by ideology. Women will play their part no doubt about that but it will be based on reality.

  8.  @TheLastCrumb.  The US has 1.4 million professional military personnel. There is no other country on earth that has that. Conscripts do not count.
