  2. That is nonsense. Afghanistan was one big resource and training camp and had no intention of disbanding that. The Taliban just did not know the intension's of the US because they tended to be very insulated hence why they did not grasp what the US military could do to the place.

  3. It is a more hands off government. It shows that a state does not need everything to be micromanaged. So in texas county commissioners, councils and mayors have more power. Revenue to run those services is done through property taxes.

  6. The media pressure of that job would make even the smartest people look like an idiot. If a person is not good in front of a camera at times it can become very overwhelming. Trump, Obama and Clinton never appeared overwhelmed on Camera but behind the scenes who really knows.

  9. The US literally had no other option after 911. Iraq sponsored terrorism including the original trade tower attacks. Saddam was getting older and more dangerous, Ba'ath party was becoming more bloodthirsty and America had to send out a message after the 911 attacks. You may not like what happened but there was very few options after 911 to deal with what had happened. The world of dictators was watching closely and a message had to be sent out. They were under the impression that they could clean those places up by offering them what the west had but the blood feuds and culture runs so deep in those places that it was not an easy task.

  11. Building 7 was probably damaged and either fell through that damage or was taken down on purpose. I suspect it was probably natural damage through the event. People think of the trade towers as being above ground but the have a large deep basement layer that was part of a system.

  12. The US could not afford at that point to have a series of terrorist attacks post 911. It would have sent a signal worldwide that America was weak.

  16. Oil that the US did not use. Iraq had under Saddam and the Ba'ath party killed hundreds of thousands of people and was involved in terrorism and aided the leader of the first attack on the trade center in the 1990s. Afghanistan was a training hot bed for terrorism.
