  1. Many humans have bright ideas but it takes a culture that encourages that through science, technology, business and everyday life. That is America in a nutshell. It is not a perfect place but it is clearly the best place on earth for innovation and culture of success. Tesla went to America as well for the same reasons as did Elon Musk.

People think that Russia is massive which it is but not the populated areas of Russia those are all focused from the west through to the central regions which would mean in a time of nuclear war that whole regions would be attacked and it would wipe out the vast majority in Russia. Nearly all of the 3 million square miles of the US has population spread that is not the case for Russia.

  4. But who are Russia going to counter? I have my doubts that Russia does not have enough warheads that are active for full intercontinental exchange with the US. I do not think a low yield weapon will make Ukraine surrender and if Russia goes high yield I suspect that Ukraine will do something crazy as well. There is also no guarantee that Ukraine does not have high yield nuclear weapon that they never handed over in the agreements.

  5.  @LRRPFco52  All Ukraine would need is the raw materials from the warhead to build their own active system. Ukraine has industry and was part of the USSR industrial military output. The idea that we can guess exactly what exists and does not exist is a fantasy. You have no more clue than what I have in terms of what really happened and what did not. We have no idea what Ukraine is capable of or not. Most certainly if Ukraine is attacked by nuclear warheads they will respond with dirty weapons that is a given.

  6. They just throw numbers at it. In WW2 they had tens of millions of very low quality men who were malnourished and not in a good state of health.

  8. The problem with Russia has in using Nukes is that Ukrainian forces are spread out and a tactical low yield nuclear weapon is not going take them all out. If they use large yield weapons' to try and destroy Ukraine there is nothing stopping the Ukrainians from doing something just as reckless. Another thing is we do not know if Ukraine has nuclear warheads of their own as there is no guarantee that they gave up all their own warheads. Maybe they have one or two large yeild warheads sitting somewhere in storage encase Russia ever did attempt anything.

The problem with Russia using nuclear weapons would be that there is no guarantee that Ukraine would surrender if Russia uses low yield tactical warheads and if Russia uses high yield they would completely destroy Ukraine which will not be of use to them and there is also the chance that Ukraine does something really crazy in Russia. Is it 100% certain that Ukraine does not have warheads and that they handed all of them over back when the negotiation's were agreed.
