Immigration does not help natural birth demographics and countries that thing they can do it will find out it does not work. It can help productivity and boost the natural population but will never act as a replacement. The US is not relying on immigration it has a good natural birth rate compared to other developing nations. Not as good as years past but still good.

It is not that simply. Many will not have some sort of transition they have their culture and the road has already been built. If a country has 4 million 15 to 20 year old females there is no way that group can have the same number of children as 8 million women in that age group when they marry. Many countries are going to face an economic crash there is just no other way it can happen. Many countries have already slammed on the breaks but they are skidding forward and about to crash.

I do not believe that to be the case. Well educated women have families as well. The problem is the economic state and technological society has removed the reality of nature and environment form most peoples world view. Most people are apathetic to the realities of the world. Most do not even know where their food comes from or their energy.

If you have a billion people in a population and there is a 50% reduction in that population per generation that means within 5 generations that number will drop to about 130 million people. That does not take into account overlapping generations. If the number is a small number such as say 8% reduction per generation it will go unnoticed for the first few generations but within 5 generations the total population will drop to 680 million and that whole process will also be disguised by the overlapping generations.

The problem the UK has is that any politician or government that actually tries to do the right thing will find them self in opposition to the media that really have their hands on the steering wheel. The reason why Boris lost control was that he tried to go with what the media was proposing but this ran counter to what various factions wanted but when he played with the various factions the media hounded him out of office. It is a no win situation and would not be so much of a problem if the UK had good demographics and strong industrial output. The next two PM's have more or less fell victim to the media's campaign and until they actually get up on the podium and just tell the public the truth nothing will change. Fear drives modern UK politics.
