@bekanav A drone that is a balloon is not complicated and as a technology is something that the US had 70 years ago. Modern industrial technologies would easily allow something like that to be built the problem is that it screams of desperation and is more of a demonstrator of lack of capabilities than anything else. When the US takes them down they are not using reactive missiles and are just using large physical bodies to knock them out of the sky.

And what they have found out is that the US can track them. That does nothing to help the Chinese on any level. It does not even show them if the US is even out of first gear and is just playing with China.

Why would you be concerned about balloons. It is not a new technology and there is nothing special about any of this. They are also useless as a weapons delivery system. There is lots of fear mongering out there from people that are mostly idiots.

Balloons come in all sizes and shapes and it is only odd to conspiracy theorists who want to make everything exciting. If you want excitement go read a book, watch a movie, maybe get on a rollercoaster, learn to fly an aircraft or something you can tell your friends about.

@vice2versa The news is not claiming it is an alien craft or some super exotic aircraft. They are clearly speculating that it is a balloon or some low tech system.

@bekanav Stop entertaining your self with mystery conspiracy theories. It was a balloon that travelled in high altitude streams with small amounts of directional force that allowed course corrections over hundreds of miles. Come on would you stop pretending anything else.
