Republicans did this on purpose because if democrats win control they then will have no option to increase taxes again and republicans can run on an anti democrat tax increase. If republicans win again it is they who will just extend the tax plan by policy. The republicans have not done this with corporate tax rates because want a stable corporate backing. I suspect they are doing this so that the market will oust liberals from media positions within corporations.

  9. Clearly he was being chased as there was a helicopter and several police officers after him. Now this does not mean he should be shot but at the same time none of us have all of the information.

  13. This three strikes rule is more than enough for these people.  If you commit a crime such as stealing a jacket on the first conviction you should have the sense to stop there. But to then go on and commit three more crimes. What the hell do you expect.  Drug crimes such as possession is a little different because that person is not doing any harm to anybody else.
