  1. I've been through the castle as a kid in the mid 1960s, I think 64, and was back again about 1972. My Aunt told us she and her then San Francisco, successful real estate broker husband, heard about the castle around WWII, and took a trip down there in their car and were at the gate looking in , when Scotty drive up, my uncle told him who he was and they were invited in , they met the Mr Johnson and they rented a room for the night in the guest cottage and had a simple dinner with them in the kitchen. It's a very interesting place, and beautiful mansion

  2. Yes, tours can be purchased, there was a winter washout near by a few years ago and the road to the castle had to be rebuilt, so it was closed for a year or two. Been through it, it's very interesting and a very nice place

  3. I don't think the mansion was damaged but the road to it was and that's being rebuilt
