No it is NOT a civil war it is a war of invasion by an aggressive neighbour whose government has waged war on its own people (see recent protests in support of Navalny) and breaks international rules by the invasion and subversion of a sovereign state. Ukraine's neighbour is a rogue state and unfortunately Ukrainians are paying the price for pushing away from the dominating, corrupt rogue state of Russia! Russia's ruler is like some despots you could find in Africa!
