I'm all for cutting red tape standing in the way of building more affordable housing, but why do I think this will also bypass any kind of citizen's review? Some of these projects are completely out of scale with historical districts like the La Mesa Village, where they plan to build a 5-story monstrosity right at the heart of it. A lot of them also are woefully short on parking. Does anyone actually believe all these people will rely 100% of mass transit? Very naive.

@DiogenesOfCa No, I support all the other new housing projects in the area that are just a couple of blocks over. There is some nuance to this kind of thing, of which you clearly have none.

@xunqianbaidu6917 Right, we should just build whatever, wherever and not have any kind of plan. You are exactly like those people who threw up all this urban sprawl post WW2 that you now bitch about.
