@luisfilipe2023 "I doubt they actually had worse living outcomes" The evidence of old bones suggests otherwise. Early farmers were shorter, and I think showed more health problems. Farming produces more food per land, but less diverse food, and can take a lot of labor; there's also a huge increase in diseases of all sorts. Food storage may look more secure (when you have surpluses to store) but foraging a wide range of food sources might be more secure in reality.
