  2.  @admthrawnuru  Besides what @lyreparadox said, modern hunter-gatherers have been pushed to marginal environments by farmers; the peak h-g lifestyle we got to observe was probably the salmon run societies of the Pacific Northwest, which had social stratification, warfare, and slavery.
