You have to compare those who actually come into contact with police (not the general public, most of whom don't have confrontations with police, especially older women). White men who get into confrontations with the police are actually at a slightly higher risk of being killed. But the statistics on this are pretty close. Black Harvard scholar Roland G. Fryer, Jr. found this out when he did a study on the situation. The study is titled: An Empirical Analysis of Racial Differences in Police Use of Force
