  1. A mud test is entirely outside the designed use case of this pistol. It's the equivalent of testing a Formula 1 open wheel car on a Baja course. This isn't intended to be a service pistol - it's a high end competition pistol.

  2. Plugging the barrel is not only standard practice, its pretty much a mandatory safety requirement. We already know guns can (and do) grenade when the barrels have mud and small rocks in them.

  3. I'm curious if you would have seen issues if you conducted the mud test with a round chambered (as if it fell into mud while in actual use). Would the action under firing pressure be able to Hulk SMASH! through the gunk, where Ian's hands could not?
