They are usually housed in super rugged containers probably could survive re-entry

@ponetastic yea but the ICBMs are sub orbital. That said I’m sure that the the Soyuz could put some kind of big nuke in space. Its just that its kinda dumb.

Hey is only pandering to russia because he went nuts during covid. He has so many star-link satellites he has nothing to worry about. Additionally the star link satellites have ion engines and can change their orbits allot. Honestly the starlink network is the safest.

no the democrats did not support the USSR watch charlie wilson’s war or read about Kennedy and the cuban missile crisis. read about all the cold war politics history.

Also let’s just say that russia did violate the outer space treaty and parked nukes in space hypothetically. This is actually less effective then their MRV ballistic missile. For one thing the US is tracking stuff already in space. for another eliminating the boost phase of the ICBM only shaves minutes off the delivery time. A submarine launched ICBM is a better first strike weapon and the Russians, French, British, Americans and Chinese all-ready have those.

Paul is right. This is a distraction. For one thing the US regularly powers deep space mission with a plutonium powered RTG. So Russia has not necessarily violated the outer space treaty. Also the US India and China have anti-satellite weapons. So on the same exact topic does anyone remember the launch of the classified X37. That thing is not just up there studying the effect of zero gravity on ant farms…….so…. this is a bunch of nothing.
