  1.  @DK-ev9dg What was incompetent there was 80 mile an hour winds it was like a sideways blow torch. There was nothing that was going to stop that. it was so windy boats in the harbor burned. do you expect people to spring out of bed at 2 am each one with a fire hose magically connected to the ocean?

  2. Im sure no one on this thread knows what was or wasn’t traded so maybe speculating is not helpful at this stage when the lives of the remaining hostages are hanging in the balance.

  3. That part of Africa is getting hotter and drier. so its harder / impossible to farm. this wrecks the economy and weakens government then it easy for extremists or war lords to take over.

  5.  @GrandSolarEclipse yea maybe china is rising Russia not so much. Russia had an economy the size of Italy before they invaded Ukraine and wasted all the lives and money.

  6. No not the CIA that president was already an allied with the US. one of the last in the region. If the US is pushed out you can expect Chinese business to fill the vacuum. Also once our marines leave you can expect Wagner or some other pmc to show up and exploit the situation.
