  1. Are they tired of buzzwords? Nope, just a little annoyed. When people are tired they put a shoe to someone's butt and then close the door on them. Meanwhile I still see advertisement and marketing division with 15 times more people then company has actual professionals with engineering know how and working brain. And I'm not talking about gun industry here, at least not only about it.

  2. We do have columns flanked by scouts. Problem is that columns are made up by vehicles, while scouts tend to be helicopters;) Scale changed, methods were modernized and adapted. But they didn't vanish.

  3. That also raises a question of why it isn't silenced? And wouldn't an army scout in the way you described benefit more from something like VSS, which was made specifically for army specifications for that role? And it's a completly different beast with it's lower range, semiauto action, removable magazine, subsonic ammo and integrated supressor. So, when both are available, who is in which niche? So I'd say that his scout rifle concept has very questionable connection to military tasks required of said role.
