@pashapasovski5860 1)the first revolution in arms revolution you should be praising then would be Dreyse Needle Gun and Armstrong Cannons; 2)bow takes decade to master and needs physique of olympic athletes to be effective, musket needs a day in a hands of malnourished teen to reach it's full potential; 3)the cavalry charge at tanks was a german propaganda story made up by italian journalist. That's the quality of sources you prefer?

@NicholasPatton-lu6xy Have you wondered that maybe it gets ridiculed EXACTLY BECAUSE WWI had proven it to be suicidal and yet soviets used human wave(not really, human wave is organized, soviets just piled up waves of conscripts onto the same narrow street hoping to achieve different result) in WWII?

@raymorriss8094 it doesn't. You're just severely overestimating "skill ceiling" of a smoothbore firearm. Though I expect that you will now try to bs me about drill, courage in face of fire, proper procedures, line vs skirmish infantry, paper cartridges or even personal anecdotes about how you hunted with a musket:D You're not Sharpe.
