  4. +PO3SAUCEZ meanwhile US military is switching away from AR family in areas not yet covered by already licensed designs, most militaries of the world using either AK family(including IDF due to Galil) or said G3/FN FAL aka ""Right arm of the Free World" or their own designs and numbers of both models produced and countries where they were used is clearly indicating it, not to mention the story of adopting AR family and M14 before them as well as respective cartridges are just stories of foul play, political and economical pressure, corruption and lobbies aimed against your own ALLIES and PARTNERS. The fact that AR started poorly, but eventually turned into a modest firearm over the years doesn't change any of the points above. Mauser on the other hand earned it's reputation on it's own in a clean competitive enviroment:P
