They should have made it chambered with same round their rifle was using. Simple infantrymen wouldn't get fancy revolvers anyway and this thing would have alowed them to "dual wield"(two guns for different situation, but only one type of round you need to carry).

Anhk94 11.15x37mm and 9.5x60mm were also used in their rifles back then. Are you implying that .45 ACP is also beyound human capabilities, not to mention bigger handgun catridges? Google the full list of catridges they were using in it back then.

Raikos371 same point as to Anhk94

Not to mention it was black powder catridges back then.

Anhk94 are you implying that beyond the energy of the blast and mass of the bullet, there are many other factors that would make a huge difference if the main thing we're discussing here right now is a recoil? And if you started asking about what I'm implying, you're free to read my comments again and even quote them. Just don't imagine much more things that "I've said or meant", ok?:P

Anhk94 I tell you a secret. Nowaday nobody uses even revolver rounds in pistols because modern pistols use magazine in grip scheme and any long cartridge will make it impossible for you to grip. Not as sh//ty as what you call jokes though:\

***** Sorry, never heard about .45 Colt, .44 Remington Magnum or .44-40 WCF pistols. Unlike you apparently.

***** I would have used ВКС/АШ-12/РШ-12 as an example instead of BFR...

Anhk94 would agree on Howdah's with you. Those are a little overboard... though it's more of a type of a gun and they could have appeared in far more sane variants. ***** Sawn off double barrel is a pistol too then.
