  1. They're not allies. The leaders of both countries don't want to fight a war with each other because no one would emerge out of that unscathed. It's a "cold peace" of pragmatic necessity and nothing else.

  2. What Israel has in quality of weapons, Egypt has in quantity of weapons. You're both evenly matched. The difference is that Egypts quality AND quantity of weaponary is rising year after year after year.

  3. They did. On 1967. Egypt paid Israel back with 1973 war. Israel only gave back the Sinai because they saw how fierce Egypt fought and how quickly they improved in a few years. Israel couldn't afford another 1973 scale war, so it forged peace with Egypt. Their own leaders weren't sure they'd win a future war against Egypt.
