  1. I commented recently on an American video where they were complaining about the price of diesel. The video was of them, driving 4000 miles in a huge V8 truck towing a huge car trailer to race another person and then turn around and come back. I mentioned that if a LOT of people started to use a LOT less fuel then the price would come to stimulate spending. I got torn to shreds. I already drive a very fuel efficient vehicle and am looking to downgrade again. I generally also do go anywhere I don't have to. Though that's more because I'm lazy. I work in a very wasteful industry (construction) and I try my best to recycle, reduce and reuse. All because I love car racing. I understand that racing is wasteful and unnecessary. However I love it. So I recycle where I can, save energy where I can. Don't update my technology until I absolutely have to, etc. Ideally I'd like to 100% offset my own emissions but that's hard. Although I have planted over 8,000 plants and 1200 trees this year.

  3. LA already has rolling blackouts because during peak electricity demand the power stations can't keep up. Could you imagine if an extra 5 million EVs suddenly hit the road?
