  2. In many countries, apart from USA, human rights mean freedom of speech, press, religion, freedom to critique the government, IN ADDITION TO food, shelter, education, health care. I am not going to list all the countries there, as you know what they are.

  5. Thanks Cyrus for the fantastic video. Americans spend more for healthcare than any nation. However, no Healthcare can help.if you kill yourself or others by crime/drug abuse/mass shooting/suicide/unhealthy food/unhealthy lifestyle.

  7. If we look into the United Nations numbers in more details. Chinese people that enjoy more freedoms/democracy have longer life expectancy. For example, Taiwan (81.0), Hong Kong (85.5), Macao (85.4) all have longer life expectancy than mainland China (78.2).

  8. Even in Singapore, where Chinese make up of 75.9% of the population, the life expectancy is 83.5 years, way above China.

  9.  @kevinwyf2008  The life expectancy of the people is not only determined by how wealthy (GDP) the country is, but also determined by social factors. Too many Americans died by non medical reasons (gun violence, suicide, mass shootings etc.) This explains the discrepancy between GDP and life expectancy.

  10.  @CyrusJanssen  I absolutely agree with you that the medical systems of United States are terrible. Comparing with Canada and other European countries, the differences are obviously. However, society factors should not be ignored. Why did the countries with the highest life expectancy are democracy and with freedoms?

  11. Of course, just because your country is democratic and has freedom, doesn't automatically mean you have a good healthcare system.

  12.  @CyrusJanssen  Thank you very much for your opinion. You have opened up a lot of eyes about China. We are proud to support you. Since you mentioned about Hong Kong, may I say a few words about it. Hong Kong in the 1960s may be industrialized, but it had LOTS of problems. Corruption was rampant, poverty was widespread, the city struggled to contain the flow of immigrants from mainland. Citywide riots broke out in 1966. Starting in 1970, the British government conducted monumental reforms during this period. Massive public housing to alleviate poverty, compulsory 9 year education, eliminating corruption, massive trade agreements with the west, development of the financial systems, defending people's rights to free speech and protests. Hong Kong people genuinely loved the British government, not because of a "colonial mindset" but because the British provided exactly what we wanted. This is akin to why the Chinese support the CCP, not because they like the communist ideal, but because they can see the works that were done to help the 1.4 billion people. It is upsetting that mainland Chinese netizens mocked us when we mourned the death of the Queen. Hong Kong is undoubtedly losing the luster. Hundreds of thousands of HongKongers have permanent left already in the last few years.

  14. Living in Canada you have the best Healthcare system at cheap or no cost. Please you have internet freedom unlike a totalitarian regime such as China.
