  3. Authoritarian governments tend to be politically close to other authoritarian governments, and democratic governments tend to be aligned with other democracies. Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare of Solomon islands chose China for political gains and help him solidify power. Donald Trump was likewise close to Russia during his presidency. This is why he wasn't sanctioned by the Russia government.

  5. If you're not happy about the government of Australia or US or Canada, you can vote it out. But if you're in a authoritarian dictatorship like Russia or China, there's nothing you can do.

  7.  @aredtomato8957  Saudi is authoritarian but it has started to open up recently. Taiwan is another example of authoritarian turned democracy. Taiwan is the example which democracy works for Chinese (as Taiwan like Hong Kong are part of China).

  9. Taiwan's GDP per person is more than 2.5 times that of mainland, they're expecting a 4 percent growth. Good to see the economy doing well. Yes, Taiwan is part of China.

  10.  @aredtomato8957  Everyone knows that mainland China banned opposition voices and stopped giving licenses that doesn't go with their opinions. Plus they banned Facebook and Twitter. Plus they banned ALL opposition parties. Taiwan has opposition parties. How do they compare?

  11.  @aredtomato8957  I did say Saudi Arabia was authoritarian. It has loosen up recently as far as ruling is concerned. For many decades, it has been closed to United States, militarily and diplomatically. Do you think it should be close to China?

  12. Ukraine had chosen to be close to Russia before but that Russian puppet Viktor Yanukovych had screwed it up and been removed accordingly. Ukraine had learned a hard lesson.
