"Better protection than an infantry man on his own" - Problem is: you can see it and target it much better and it's a much more worthwhile target, so... I wouldn't be sure if it is that smart to stay in or near one when you fight an actual army.

Even worse: the way this is working. They just blindly throw stuff into that burning shithole clearly without ANY plan. When the first stuff arrives, it's effect is a joke, because it's missing so many other aspects for that, while when this other stuff is sent monthes later, the first things are already gone again. If the sheer mass of it woulnd't still be somehow dangerous and overall cause a lot of unncessary death in Ukraine, including Russian soldiers, I would laugh my ass off as a Russian general about such absurd incompetence.

Question would be how stupid you have to be to think, that some "western strike forces" could make an impacts. Is that Hollywood pushed illusion, that western soldiers are invincible super troopers, who can just dominate any enemy with their superior skill. As if the main success of NATO in their usual wars isn't that they got the whole range of military equipment, while their enemy got rifles and some mortars and mines.
