the factional infighting within the CCP are purely personal. kinda like the fighting between Hillary and Obama, They aren't ideologically driven and nobody in chinese society is going to fight a civil war over which person is on top.

maybe when the conditions that created the need for leninism goes away such as predatory international capitalism, underdevelopment and military threats by imperialist powers, leninism will finally die off.

I like how you china haters give so much credit to Xi as some kind of mastermind when he's really not that important. The CCP as an institution will go on without Xi and will always look out for the best interest of itself and the chinese nation. Removing Xi is going to be about as meaningful as removing Biden.

the internal competition within the CCP is what a functional 'democracy' should be, instead of one that mudslings on national TV over meaningless wedge issues but never do anything to change the status quo. Trump was the last person to actually shake things up in the US and you saw what happened to him.

How does a western democracy handle the problem? Talk about it for 4 years and do nothing, then point fingers at each other, have an election and blame the party that just got voted out, while still not fixing the problem: Rinse and repeat. Yeah wonder why chinese people are in no hurry for regime change.

Xi has countless things he could blame the bad economy on that are perfectly reasonable, like the ukraine war or Bidens crappy economic policy thats leading to a global recession, or the fact that covid is still very much around.

@Intelligencia address the argument rather than attack the person.

because political leaders sometimes gaff and its not like Biden who literally can't stop sounding senile.
1
hahah, nothing within the CCP right now can hold a candle to the circus that was the 2020 US elections.

@MagSnapShots Jiang's faction is more competant economically but more corrupt and more pro-billionaire.
1
Xi could resign as president and still remain chairman of the party and supreme commander of the PLA.

Dengs pragmatism was only enabled because the US had pragmatic diplomats like Kissinger, right now you got ideologue novices in the US that can't be trusted. Even if someone replaced Xi, theres zero chance china will make meaningful rapprochement with the US unless the entire crop of american decision were replaced.

the whole wolf warrior thing was a response to Trump. Without him being in office its redudant.

hmmm I can smell that projection from here. Tell me, What was the inflation rate in the west this quarter?

I think the prevailance of social media in china will allow the CCP to make much faster course corrections with much more precision so you won't see the same excesses like the great leap forward. Low level officials don't have the ability censor wechat so any major screwups will be seen by the higher ups.
