  1. Why would Republicans not want people to know about black history in the United States? The Democrats fought to keep slavery. They fought against giving released slaves citizenship. They fought against giving them the vote. it was a Democrat who killed Lincoln and another Democrat who abandoned Reconstruction that Lincoln wanted to institute. They were the party of the KKK who tried to stop southern blacks from voting Republican. The Democrats were the party of Jim Crow. They fought against the Civil Rights Act. The Republican party formed for one reason only....to end slavery and they fought for everything, that I just mentioned and that the Democrats fought against. If anyone wouldn't want true black history taught, you'd think it would be the Democrats. The Republicans should be PROUD of their record in standing with black Americans. I can't believe how Americans are allowing Democrats to gaslight them like they are.
