I'd say that Serena Williams is, without a doubt, the best female tennis player of all time, with Venus Williams coming in as second best and Martina Navratilova in third. They are the elite. Yet, they know that they can't touch the top men's players. Only the weirdo far left, who don't even know what end of a tennis racket to use, would argue against this.

@cheryleaston6820 I'm not sure what it says. Maybe they don't want to get embroiled in a weird political/ideological screech fight over the internet. Be another victim of the J. K. Rowling effect. No matter what you say, someone will be hounding you. They have lots of money and they want to enjoy it. I don't blame them. I might be disappointed that they don't speak up but it's their choice.

@havok6280 Well....maybe there is a doubt. LOL. I've watched them all on TV and she always seemed the most overwhelming when she was on, hitting the ball with such power and a most intimidating force exuding from around her. Whether she was or not, not one of the players that you mentioned would beat the best men's players and that's the point being made.

@RedroomStudios He may have been, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Serena, the best female tennis player of all time, would never win against the top men's tennis players. In fact, we may never see another female player as good as she has been....she's that good. Unless, of course, a transgender woman plays professional tennis, which could be the way that it's going to go.

@christinepeterson8097 I already said in another post that maybe there is a doubt. I don't have to look of Steffi, though. I watched her play on TV lots of times. I'm 71 years old. All those big names I've actually watched. Still, I'm going with Serena. She was such a force when she was on. That doesn't mean that Steffi or anyone else isn't great but we're ranking and when you run a race, someone wins, even when it's a subjective race like "Who's the best".

@lawrence1318 Apparently, when deciding who was the best, is a very subjective endeavour. I suppose that's why John McEnroe had no reason to apologise when he said the Serena wasn't the best tennis player ever. I'm not asking you to apologise for your choice, nor should you. it's subjective and we all look at different aspects of their abilities, while making our decisions.

@indy_go_blue6048 Richards enter the La Jolla Tennis Tournament Championships in 1976, at 42 years old, and WON. She beat biological women. Richards played professionally, against women, from age 42 to 47, before retiring and was ranked as high as 22nd at one point. Mid 40s isn't the exactly prime age for professional tennis players, male or female. The oldest woman to win a major was in 1926, when tennis was a game of the rich, and she was 42 years old. In the modern open era the age is only 33 and that's the era that Richards played in. In other words, Richards had the physical advantage of a man when he played professional tennis and NEVER played professionally as a man in men's tournaments. You just made my argument for me. Thank you.

@lawrence1318 I'm not American, so I don't have to play second fiddle to anyone. Do you have any other fallacious assumptions that you want to throw at me? We're talking different eras which DOES lend to making subjective comparisons. We can't really compare how they'd have stacked up against each other because they've never played each other. THAT is the deciding factor. Would Court beat Serena when they were both at their peak? That's difficult to assess however, Court never had to contend with the hard shots and serves that modern females possess. She's not even ranked in the top 23 and everyone of those ranked played in the last 15 years. Not ONE from before 2009. Australia can have all the records as most tournaments won but that has NOTHING to do with Serena's abilities. You may even be right that Court could be Serena but we can't know until they play each other as equals and that is an impossibility.

@SL-es5kb I don't think that they've have gone insane. They're seeking power and the way to do that is to obliterate the idea of objective truth. To use, what has become a cliche, convince people that 2 plus 2 equals 5. That it all depends on how one looks at it. A man can become a woman just by saying it or vice versa. That's our modern iteration of that Orwellian equation. Why did the powers do it in Orwell's "1984"? Because, to quote Voltaire, "Those who can be convinced to believe absurdities, can also be convinced to commit atrocities". The one who can convince you of those absurdities does it to have power over you. You'll believe anything that they tell you. I wish it was insanity. it's worse than that. It's just plain evil.
