That's the concept behind peer review. Scientists evaluate a published paper on a new scientific principle and they run tests to see if the paper has any value to be had. Science has to be tested and questioned or it doesn't advance. "Trust the science" isn't an appeal to science at all. It's an appeal to accept a scientific idea as dogma.

@Norundithus First.....I'm NOT triggered. I believe that negative ideology start small and can grow into an horrific authoritarian regime. The Marxists of the Soviet Union took years to grow into a movement that overthrew the Russian government. The Nazis started small and gained momentum until they led the world into the most destructive war the world has ever seen. Mohammed started as a preacher in Mecca and had to flee from the authorities before his movement became one of the most influential ideologies in history. This is a pattern of world history and I see a new ideology taking hold, in America and the west, that has the potential of destroying those once great countries. So....spare us the adolescent taunting.
