  1.  @LovingPrinceTamayuki  What a complete misunderstanding of collectivism. Haslam is a Christian, a man that believes in personal redemption and responsibility. That's the deepest part of individuality. However, we still have to work together, to cooperate to accomplish the things that are important to us. That's the "we" that is being referred to here. It's individuals, with their own ideas and beliefs, working together for a common goal. Collectivism insists that there is no individual responsibility and redemption, that you cannot decide, as an "I" to cooperate. That this isn't up to you and must be mandated by the collective. That every person must be of the same beliefs and ideology or they're outsiders. That's completely outside what Haslam and the right believe in.

  2.  @LovingPrinceTamayuki  Let me try this again, seeing as that you seem to relish in being as thick as you are. Collectivism is about being of one mind, that we operate as metaphorical drones in a beehive. That our group identity defines who we are, how we think and what we believe. People, like Haslam, are not collectivists. They believe in individual agency, that we CHOOSE to cooperate or even to opt out, as we choose as individuals. That our group identity is NOT who we are and it does NOT define us. We define ourselves. We work together, as individuals of our own free will, each one having the freedom to decide the depth of our cooperation or even to freely opt out, without recrimination BECAUSE we are individuals and not forced into being a part of the hive. The individual is the priority. In collectivism, the group supersedes the individual....ALWAYS.

  3.  @LovingPrinceTamayuki  You're taking things into the extreme meaning of the words. It's an exercise in semantics. I'm talking about within the confines of human existence. The Marxist authoritarian view of collectivism is the eradication of the individual as much as possible. The opposite is free agency, again as much as is possible. That doesn't mean that there's no way that individuals can work together. It means that there's a choice in degree of how we will work together or not. At least speak within the realm of possible human existence.
