You don't have to watch the cut ups. He also airs them in their entirety. Some like the cut ups. To each their own. You can watch the long form interviews and others can watch the short ones or you can watch both. Watch the long one and then go over a segment that you like on a topic that you might send to a friend to watch. Not that big a crisis.

@zukezamamee9033 I'm subscribed to a number of science and history channels. There are some subjects that I find more interesting than others. If they post a video on a subject that I'm not that interested in, I don't bother with it. I see the notification, go to the video, see what it's about and then decide whether I'll watch it or not. Sometimes, I'll pass on 4 or 5 videos, from a specific channel before I watch one. I don't notify the person that unless he only posts things I like, I'm not subscribing to his channel anymore. I'm grateful for the content provided that I DO like, that's offered FREE of charge. I don't make a big deal of it. Even if they go in a direction that I don't care for, I'll unsubscribe and let them do as they will. It's their channel and their choice. If you like Rubin's full videos, watch them and be grateful. You're throwing the baby out with the bathwater when you use your logic.
