  2. I'll bet that she voted Democrat. How about having an honest conversation about that? It was the Democrats that supported slavery, who voted against emancipation, giving the freed slaves American citizenship and the right to vote. It was the Democrats who benefited from the formation of the KKK and brought in the Jim Crow laws, poll taxes and literacy laws in order vote. It was the Democrats who opposed integration and the Civil Rights Act. I'm old enough to have heard a Democrat say, live on TV "Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation tomorrow". It was the Republican party that formed with the primary mandate of ending slavery. Why don't we have a conversation about that?
