I say she should apologise for her bigoted assumptions. Her finger is pointing in every direction except inwards.....where it belongs. Someone should tell her that ending racism and bigotry starts at home. That applies to everyone....no exception.

Of course it's real. Can't see it, touch it, point it out but you can shout about it on the rooftops. The biggest millstone around a black person's neck or anyone's neck, is the idea that someone else has a privilege that they don't. Whether they do or not, it's irrelevant to you. You are what you are and you work with what you have. Dave Webb, the guy in this video, did that and so have millions of other blacks. It's the culture of envy that will hold you back. You, yes.....YOU....are you're own worst enemy. A bigger enemy than any white man with his privilege will ever be.

@OpenMawProductions I think that she should sit down and think, deeply on what just happened and how it was possible that she could have misread the situation so badly. Then, she should talk to David Webb again and listen to what he is actually saying to understand why he disregards the effects of racism of his career to the extent that he does. This would do more than any apology she could ever give. Apologies are actions or rote, done out of expectation of ritual action without any real personal demands of the action of self introspection. An honest attempt to assess and understand herself is the true apology.

@jonnylaw13 That was why I finished my comment by saying that I wasn't arguing with you. I was hoping that you'd see that I was only putting my own feelings on the topic.

@jonnylaw13 So what if it exists. That's a given. We ALL have privilege and once you make a contest of it, you've crippled yourself. The biggest privilege a person can have is the realisation that it doesn't have to be that way. David Webb demonstrated that beautifully, albeit unintentionally when he was accused of "white privilege". Webb "suffers" from the privilege of knowing that he can still succeed, as an individual, and the success of others has NOTHING to do with him. You succeed when you take your lot in life and make the best of it you can. That's success. It isn't a comparison to others or a contest. It's personal improvement. That's how you succeed. If every white man in the world is better off than Webb, he's still a bigger success than the white guy who lives off his mommy's bank account and he deserves more respect. You bring up white supremacy as a racist trope but isn't Aveva Martin a racist woman? She assumed qualities about Webb under one assumption. He's white or so she thought. That's the very definition, the very heart of racism. In fact, she's using racism to further her own professional goals and line her pockets. She might as well be a slave owner. She building her life on a hate for others. She'd rather see people believe that there is no hope than to build them up as individuals. I've no use for that type of person. Don't think that I'm arguing with you. I'm not. The entire racist trope these days is extremely destructive and does no one any advantage except for those who make a living selling it. That is the point that I'm trying to make.
