@yukikodavila4907 That's the way it should be. Woke politics is just plain stupid but worse, it encourages resentment and anger.

@theeuphioanswer770 I know what it is and it's an horrific ideology. It pits race against race. No one is against building fields for underprivileged youth. We're against making it about race. Build all the fields that is needed, just don't segregate them into fields of equity where kids are excluded due to the colour of their skin. I reject the idea that we are to judge a person by the colour of their skin first and foremost. That's KKK talk. They believed in that very concept. Now suddenly, race is all we hear about. At schools, in politics, in sports, in entertainment. Race has become everything. CRT is the most hateful ideology to hit the US since Jim Crow.

@theeuphioanswer770 Used to be.....I think that's what you said. Used to be. Do you understand what that means? I "used to be" 4 feet tall. "Used to be" implies that I'm not that tall, right now. It's something in the past. There "used to be" a big war in Europe, against the Germans. Call me foolish but I'm not going over to fight them anymore. "Used to be" means the WAR IS OVER. It also means that sports aren't segregated anymore. That fight is over. Man.....has the whole world gone off its rocker? Damn...I used a gender specific noun. Another reason for someone to lose their mind.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any stupider, Major League Baseball steps up to the plate.

@theeuphioanswer770 Yet the poorest kids from the Dominican play baseball, ALL the time. They've become so good at it, they're over represented in MLB. Why is that? I'd say it's the love of the game. Just like basketball for the inner city kids. They'll play it anywhere and anytime. It's one thing to try to get kids to enjoy your sport. It's another to make it about race. That's my objection. Oh...by the way. Most Dominican players are black. Funny how kids with old gloves, battered old shoes.....Tony Fernendez played in his bare feet because he was so poor.....half broken bats and old shirts for bases, played all the time, but American black kids can't because of a lack of equipment. It's just not true and a nonsensical effort to make it about race instead of just helping kids out.

@theeuphioanswer770 They only did that AFTER the Dominican players started to prove themselves as ball players. When they saw how dedicated they were to the game, THAT'S when they started to invest in the DR. players. They didn't do out of equity or inclusivity or because Dominicans were black. They did it because the Dominicans loved the game and played it round the clock. Skin colour was irrelevant. The Dominicans proved themselves and MLB responded. Not one baseball executive went to the DR. because of equity. They went because of the merit of the players. Prove your worth and the world will respond.
