  1. When I first moved to Ukraine a decade ago almost, my "home" town was called Krasnoarmiisk which means "Red Army" - Krasno = Red and Armiisk = different tense of Army. In 2015 my town was re-named "Pokrovsk" which is from "Pokrov""– Protection (Patronage) of the Mother of God – celebrated October 1st each year. My wife and I had to leave Pokrovsk last year and are IDP in West Ukraine, but it remains occupation free, even though it's very close to the front. Mother Mary protecting my home town from the demonic Russians ?
