@gootusfootus3229 Ignorance is bliss. I bet this dude thinks he defeated Nazis with just what UK has today as well. No mention of its own colonies or allies.

@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- Patently false, unless you are talking about casualties of WW1 and WW2 combined (which is besides the point given how the discussion was limited to WW2). The true number of UK military deaths in entire WW2 were around 0.3-0.4 Million as per UK's own official count. And none of this changes the fact that I stated: UK leaned heavily on its colonies for men, resources and materiel.

@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- You are merely stating facts I've already stated in my second comment. Which means you either did not read my comment or you have poor comprehension skills. So let me quote this for you:- "Patently false, unless you are talking about casualties of WW1 and WW2 combined (which is besides the point given how the discussion was limited to WW2)." If you remove the 0.88 million that died in WW1, WW2 casualty figure is just shy of 0.4 Million. And nobody is disputing that UK fought hard. I am merely stating that UK ensured its colonies fought hard as well and that today, UK doesn't have those colonies to lean on anymore.

@daffyd5867 You forgot the 2 ships and the 20 Admirals. Oh, and the "Space Force".

@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- World War era Britain was heavily leaning on (practically standing on the shoulders of) the men, resources and materiel of its colonies. Today, it is different.

@thegoat11111 Army? Wonder if it even merits being called a Corps. Just one Division ready at a time. And for a surge at most, 5 Brigades. That is not even 2 Divisions.
4
And the thing that breaks it is its massive size of an entire 5 Brigades!

@Ultron-o3i Definitely not the 3rd largest. Top three defence spenders are USA, China and India.
2
@Ultron-o3i What "nope"? I am not denying that UK is in top 5 as ranks 4th or 5th. All I am saying is that UK is not in the top 3.
2
@studentaviator3756 Back then, you also had colonies like India. Now you don't.
2
@studentaviator3756 Because that is a fact that often goes unsaid.
2
@studentaviator3756 That the millions of troops and industrial capacity of WW2 era UK you are pointing towards has its roots in not just the modern UK, but the modern UK, Australia, Canada, India, etc combined. So it will be pointless to point to WW2 as an example of what UK can amass in wartime if it reestablishes its industry and culture (that it is fast losing to globalist scum).
