Until the divorce laws are changed there is NO chance men will opt back in to marriage. You can rename it a million times but having half their stuff taken away, not seeing their chikdren and supporting someone they usually hate for 20 years is not going to lure men back into the tender trap.

@teresahall8762 Divorce laws and state benefits have decimated marriage. Even if we assume they had good intentions the outcome has been disastrous for society.

@teresahall8762 Progressive needs to be replaced with Destructive. Because that's what they do, they undermine and destroy important institutions. And then call it Progress. If anyone can say we live happier, more fulfilling lives now than 50 years ago they're lying.

Peter Hitchens' idea that England should separate and become one of the world's wealthier countries makes sense. Why should we support Scotland with the Barnett formula when we can redirect the money to levelling up the North of England and stop listening to their endless whingeing. The Scots don't have the wherewithal to join Nato and are not economically viable enough to join the Euro. We waste too much time caring what they think.
