Has anyone tested Michael Costa's cognitive ability?

Just goes to show it can't be too hard to run a country, the last bloke had the intellectual capacity of a 10 year old and this bloke apparently can't remember to tie his shoe laces.

@kirbywaite1586 Yeah your right, now I think about it my granddaughter is only 9 and she is already considerably smarter than President Trump so I probably was being a little generous, and yes President Trump was very congratulatory of himself when he was able to pick out the silhouette of an elephant on a cognitive function test so points for that. Also I never said he was senile, in that regard you have created a strawman argument which is a logical fallacy and renders your comment meaningless. Happy to discuss President Trump low intellectual abilities, I would be unable to run out of examples and is quite easy to prove.

Yeah the 850000 jobs created this month must have really hurt!

@carmenDS1234 No your completely wrong. The statistics are from the Department of employment and are exactly the same as under a Republican as a Democrat. Also why are you yelling, these are just common knowledge facts.
1
@ryanphillips3533 No your wrong. 850000 was a net figure. I mentioned nothing about who or what caused it. I agree the average monthly employment growth figures for the first three years under Trump was very good at approx 287000, and we will give him a pass for the last year figures because of Covid. Contrast that against the lousy 292000 average of the last three years of the Obama, and I can see why you have issues with 850000 jobs, because you have a political bias.

@ForestX77 Your comment is a strawman argument and a logical fallacy. I mentioned nothing about who created them, and never suggested it was Biden. That figure is not a lie it is from the Dept of employment and the same source President Trump was using for the four years of his administration. Your political bias doesn't alter facts it just weakens your argument to the point of being nonsense.
1
@Nancy K No they are not, they are the same numbers President Trump was using for the four years he was President. It is a net figure, and unrelated to the cause.

@deblafferty6197 And what you prefer they were still unemployed? Why would anyone complain about 850000 people getting jobs unless of course you have some sort of political bias. Obviously because of the massive job losses last year things are still trying to get to back to normal, but again why do you see that as a bad thing?
1
@ryanphillips3533 Yep totally agree. The Trump administration to its credit created a fiscal stimulus when Covid hit to help with job growth and the Biden administration has carried that on. Be aware as economies advance and get more sophisticated the mix of jobs changes and this is just normal, it is a good thing. Politicians from both sides will tell you it was their decisions, but if you simply look at the raw economic data since the GFC the US unemployment rate started fallling from the second year of Obama right through to the Trump years until Covid and the GDP grew right through the Obama and Trump years again only Covid stopped that. You can argue was it Obamas fiscal policy or Trumps tax cuts, but really it is American businesses that create jobs.

@ForestX77 The figure I quoted was from the US Department of Employment and is not made up. What the majority of economists were expecting was a number around 250000 so the 850000 number was far in excess of what was expected and is a fantastic sign that the economy is recovering from the Covid recession. So the fact that so many jobs were created or in your words reopened (an economic term I have never heard of, when have jobs been referred to as opened or closed or reopened). I'm not sure you understand what a strawman comment or arguement is. I made no mention of who or what was responsible only they had been created. If you wish to discuss sensiblely the reasons and causes then you will have to drop your ridiculous bias political views, as this is economic issue.
