@patrickjohnson8741 Firstly the GG is a non elected honorific appointed position at the PM whim. The GG has no political power. Next, federal governments are elected for a three year term. At the next federal election you will get your chance to have your say. The idea that you consider removing a freely elected and according to all the current polling still the preferred choice 2PP by one person, is quite frankly stupid. We have a constitutional monarchy where political power is entrusted to elected officials not appointed individuals and the fact you don’t understand this clearly demonstrates to me that you have literally no understanding whatsoever of our democracy here in Australia. What totalitarian regime did you emigrate from?

@patrickjohnson8741 Under completely different circumstances. The government had its money bill stalled in the senate. By convention that can’t happen again and certainly it isn’t a tigger for a dissolution of parliament currently. By what measure do you think the GG could dissolve parliament and force a federal election?

@oldman2800 I have no issue with this. You can cherry pick whatever economic data you wish. As previously mentioned if you use per capita GDP as a measure we were in recession under the previous LNP government as well as a recession. The standard measure almost universally by economists of a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative growth in the GDP. How critical were you of the previous LNP governments economic performance.
