Interestingly you don’t go into the same detail about an internal combustion engine.

@grannyannie2948 Factually incorrect. The batteries on virtually all EVs can be replaced.

@riah8600 cost was not an element of the argument neither was waste. Do you really want to go down those paths though? Or the practical aspects and maintenance costs of keeping a 100 year old internal combustion engine going. Please please please say yes.

@grannyannie2948 Great concern for the environment shown there. I can only imagine the muck and filth the exhaust from a 70 year old internal combustion engine spews out. The fact is the average car these days with a internal combustion engine lasts between 8 to 12 years.

@grannyannie2948 How long would a plant survive with only CO2 to sustain it. What a ridiculous argument.
1
@grannyannie2948 So the waste from fossil fuels good, waste for renewable energy bad, yeah that makes sense, stick with that logic.
1
@riah8600 Factually incorrect. There are recycling companies in the US currently turning wind turbine blades into cement for the construction business. Virtually 100% of both solar panels and wind turbines are recyclable. There are companies in Australia currently recycling solar panels. Read a bit more widely and get up with the latest technology.

@riah8600 And what a ridiculous argument “It can’t be destroyed” Nothing is destroyed. Everything is just turned into something else. What sort of understanding of thermodynamics do you have.
1
@grannyannie2948 Good as long as you acknowledged the silliness of your argument.
1
@grannyannie2948 So you see nothing silly in arguing more CO2 is good, and just ignore the greenhouse effect and the increase in global temperatures contributing to the deforestation of great swathes of the planet, as long as you are tucked up safe in rural Australia which is already seeing the effects of a changing climate. Despite vast tracts of the planet to become uninhabitable and large migrations of people having to move. I bet you will be the first to say no immigration here. Your selfishness has no bounds.
1
@grannyannie2948 So you oppose all mining?
1
@grannyannie2948 I just did a bit of reading on oil production for your 70 year car. Sorry I didn't realise how clean and pollution free oil production was. It is as if it didn't even happen it is so good for the environment.
